Lawlessness
It was once called the wild west, where everything seemed to be on the table and vigilante justice was often seen as quite just. Today, wild doesn’t begin to describe what fills our daily news. We see protests turn into dangerous riots, people vandalize and destroy property, and politicians and elites commit crimes and receive no real punishment. All of this points to the lawlessness Jesus said we would see in the days before He returns.
Matthew 24:12 – “And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold.”
War
Wars have existed since the beginning of time, but those who study Bible prophecy will find the current threats interesting from a Biblical perspective. Given the posturing of some world leaders, it feels as if another world war is on the cusp. The Bible speaks of a time when all those surrounding Israel will descend upon it, but they will not succeed. The names we hear most often today are Israel, Turkey, Iran, Russia, China, and Hamas. The fact that all eyes are on Israel and that hatred of Israel increases to the subject of war points to us living in the last days as described by Jesus.
Matthew 24:6 – “And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet.”
Globalism
One day, the Bible says the world will be ruled by one man for a time, and he will be brutal. Metaphorically, he is called the beast, and everything that will allow him full, dictatorial control over the entire world is called the beast system. We are seeing this system being set up before our eyes through technology, the push for digital currency, and deceptive group think. And with the rise of artificial intelligence, the capacity for deception is like nothing we have ever seen. People are being manipulated into not only accepting but welcoming the beast system with open arms.
“He gave me this explanation: ‘The fourth beast is a fourth kingdom that will appear on earth; it will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth, trampling it down and crushing it.’” – Daniel 7:23
What does it all mean?
Each day things only seem to get worse, whether it be greedy mega corporations, the rise of Communism, the crazy cost of living, or simply wanton acts of violence. We sit around wondering when will things get better, hoping that if we are a good enough person or if we elect the right people that everything will turn around. Unfortunately, as humans we are all sinners that must one day face judgement, with all of the chaos we see now simply being a prelude to that judgement. The real question is “how do we avoid judgement?”. Simply put, the answer is Jesus Christ. The world isn’t falling apart it’s falling into place.
